Our plumbers at Contemplumb have over 21 years experience in attending to blocked sewer

drains. Blocked drains are a major issue to your premises and can be an ongoing problem if not

repaired correctly. If left untreated it can cause internal and external structure damage to the

premise, which can lead to issues with foundations and can cause health problems with leaking

sewerage. In most cases the main cause of blocked drains is due to a build up of hair and soap

scum in the shower. Food scraps and fat in the kitchen sink or leaves and trees in externals

drains. Tree roots are also a major cause of blockages, nearby trees roots can become entangled into the drainage pipes, therefore causing blockages. Most blockages can be cleared through using a Sanitary Snake which will obstruct the blockage through the use of inserting cables into the Overflow Relief Gully and purging out the blockage. We can usually determine what has caused the blockage at this point. The other way to determine a much more severe blockage is through CCTV inspection, which is were we insert a camera into the sewerage drain and we inspect the cause of the blockage and then we can establish a solution.

Once we determine the cause of the storm water drain blockage and if there is any damage to the drain, we can repair, upgrade and renew the storm water drain were required.
